Years pass and you’ve continued to keep up with the rest, albeit with great difficulty and forced effort.
You enter into a cycle of forced sprints and burn-outs. You try every means possible to find a “work-life balance”, but you never find it.
Sometimes, you even wonder where the A-players are getting their seemingly never-ending source of energy.
Every time you burn-out, you seek solace in solitude and return to being the child.
You indulge your natural interests and curiosities.
It’s funny how you can easily enter flow and create/read/work for hours on end when you’re doing your thing.
After you replenish your energy and return to your wits, you put aside your hobby and return to being serious and doing what “needs to get done”.
Even though you put aside this inner child many times over, it never leaves you.
It’s here and it’s waiting for you to accept it.
It’s waiting for you to accept your true calling. Your true power.
